• Cancelation Policy of full deposit:
  • 0 to 12 hours – 0% Refunded
  • 12 to 48 hours – 50% Refunded
  • 48 hours and longer – 100% Refunded
  • In the event of a cancellation by us due to weather or any other reason, a full refund will be given on the amount paid.

"Fearless" is a classic Herreshoff Nereia design. The designer L.Francis Herreshoff was possibly the most famous designer of clipper bowed ketches from 33' to 77'. Herreshoff designed the Nereia class around 1948. His Father N.Herreshoff was an American naval architect, mechanical engineer, and yacht design innovator. He produced a succession of undefeated America's Cup defenders between 1893-1920.

Fearless spent many a year’s sailing the waters of New Zealand and competing in a number of tall ship regattas.

Ian Robertson purchased her back in 1998 and spent the winter months sailing up to the pacific islands, in 2001 unfortunately Fearless hit a reef and sunk, she spent 12 long days submerged up to her portholes. A number of yachts came to her rescue and refloated Fearless where she was towed back to Fiji for repairs to make the long voyage home to NZ for a full refit.

She kept Ian and his crews' safe during many deep water adventures.

She was sold in 2008.

Restoration Time

Between 2008 and 2010 we don’t know much about the fate of Fearless, let’s just say David found her online in disrepair and after a lot of research Fearless was financed by his friendly bank manager.

So a deal was done to fully restore Fearless back to her beauty.

A little about your Captain

David has a background in hospitality; speedway and sailing are his passions. Coming from a family of seafarers it was inevitable that he would take up sailing. Joining the local yacht club he competed in a number of regattas picking up a few trophies along the way. David has spent over 20 years sailing on Lake Taupo with varies charter yachts, now sailing Fearless since 2010.
